They may have already hit the wall. The number of hardly used second-hand examples advertised seems excessive when compared to the reported waiting list. Sure, their sales and registrations are up there, but why are buyers waiting for factory deliveries ?

Don’t think there are any waiting lists for current model.
Plenty of new stock in the country, and new model is being built in the US.
Waiting lists will be for 2018 model now.

Agreed, was driving past Jarvis Ford @ Norwood in SA last weekend and the yard is full of unsold Mustangs, Rebel Ford had 3 new and 1 used last week and that's without even looking too hard and are some of the smaller yards in metro Adelaide.

Camaro has one as well. The difference between them, the Mustang turbo 4 is an upgrade over the V6.

I don't think waiting lists for the MY18 will be as long as experienced for the MY16/17 models.

There was probably a lot of pent up demand for the first series and the demographic was mainly older buyers, like myself, for who the Mustang was an iconic car from our youth.

That has largely been satisfied now.

Then, with MY18 there will definitely be a price increase although it's not known yet what the Oz cars will come with. I would say active exhaust and digital dash will be there but not sure of the magna-ride.

I can see Mustang going the way of all the other 2-door Fords/Holdens.

G'day , Thanks , very interesting to read those numbers. Probably why a late version of Falcon hardtop in good nick draw top prices these days.
RE the Commodore coupe's , they sold a nice few two door versions in the US and in England well into the mid noughties . The GTO in America via Pontiac were bordering on a cult status car I believe and the owners are dedicated to them . Then the four door VE based G8 and the VF based Chevy SS in the same form were highly rated in the US by those who discovered them too.
