Hrm... *Looks at his first post and can't remember typing that, anyway, no times lol. But the fairmont is stock :/ so was the VR, and I dont know about that ricer, but it had nothing.
The fairmont will be getting a complete engine build sometime, got the block, just figuring out what I want The current engine is completely stock, but I'll get a K&N panel or pod, and a GT intake, as well as pacemakers and 2 and 1/2" in about a month or two. The heads will get a port and a polish, as well as maybe a port match. |

if he doesn't have times, he doens't have times.
don't try and get him in trouble by saying 'must have been traffic lights'. if it was traffic lights then what ever, but he's done the right thing by stating drag strip. please don't turn the thread to crap.

Nah mate, I wasn't saying you were, but I think when it comes to porting, the inlet and outlet ports on the head are usually matched to the inlet manifold and extractor ports in size & shape.
Or, as you've said, made a little bigger than stock size, if it's a quick n nasty job. Conversely, I think some Clevo boys with 4V heads put tongues in their ports (inlet or exhaust or both, I'm not sure) to make them more streetable at lower rpms. |
