Default Got a quote for full leather interior today

Got a quote today from a reputable Adelaide motor trimmer to have a full leather interior in my XR8.
Includes all seats fully re-apholstered in high quality genuine leather with XR8 logo embroidery; full leather door trim (possibly with XR8 logos also) as well as leather centre consol and gear shift surround. All this for $3200. Not bad I thought.

Also tossing up to have wood grain instrument cluser installed.

Comparing this to the leather that came factory with the BA XR's is chalk and cheese. I almost laughed when I saw the crap Ford called luxury sports seats.

Has anyone had the same thing done? Also, Adelaide is a pretty small town, so if anyone knows of any really good places interstate, it would be good to hear some ideas.

Cheers, James

That sounds great value. The only trimmer i have heard of & seen there work in Adelaide is Whilshires (pls correct my spelling if incorrect) but i would think they would quote more than that.

Yeah, colour's gonna be a hard choice. I was thinking maybe tan, or charcoal. Then agian, yeah, bugundy would be nice. I think it's going to be a case of have a look at different colours, then make a decidion that I'll probably regret

I'm still surprised at the cost. I was expecting a lot more.

Yeah, that's the one! I wasn't sure if I was allowed to mention companies on this forum. I've seen their work in hot-rods and older cars, and it's pretty bloody nice.

I did a full leather conversion on my seats and door trims for a thousand less than that and this guy does quality work and was done with much better quality leather than factory. Give him a call, I bet he'll do better than what you've got from Whiltshire.

His name is Adrian Spencer ph 8345-5021 / Aristocrat Motor Trimmers

Cheers
