I actually quite like that, it would look awesome in black. Now that it's AWD it makes a great alternative to the other Euro AWD pocket rockets like Golf R and Audi S3. I don't mind that its only gonna be offered in dual clutch guise but not sure how i feel about them downsizing the engine from 2.0 to 1.6. Even so with the smaller engine its apparently gonna make around 220kw.

I've never been much of a fan of the looks of the past versions of these but I don't mind this one.

Looks awesome imo but I still remember laughing at the repair/parts bills for mates Feugo many many years ago. Enough to turn me off Frenchies forever sadly even when they look as good as this one.

As a former RS owner, don't like that one bit. Looks like they outsourced the styling to Toyota

Looks like a cross between Tiida and Corolla. Renault has hit the mark with current Megan and few Clios but this one is lacking . Hopefully it looks better IRL , some designs don't photograph well.
One thing is for sure though - it will perform on the track. Last edited by SumoDog68; 22-04-2016 at 10:17 PM. |

Few stock standard idiotic comments from the usual jaded Falcon obsessed xenophobic knuckle draggers who wouldn't know an awesome drive if it hit them in the face.
Few of you boys are mentioning 1.6l, AWD, and EDC like its confirmed? From where did you source the info Wretched? |

Like the front, not sure about the rear. Perhaps in red that hid the extended tail light garnish. Megane is one of those cars I could see myself owning. I narrowly pipped it out with an R32 last time I went 'hot hatch'. I'd certainly consider it as a next car.

The Falcon is good, but I'm not a huge fan. But also I am not a fan of this or any Megane, ever. I do like some hot hatches though. Golf R would be an awesome drive. |

I miss the lazy power of my outgoing FGX XR8, but it does feel boring in comparison. Fun and engaging car, but then I couldn't find a new manual XR8 in Feb 2016, maybe it would have been different in manual. |

A friend of mine had a Mégane.
She said it was an awesome car to drive, but would never buy one again. She said the average service was never less than $1,000. Once out of warranty, she sold it. I guess that's the problem with many Euros though. |

“Most Towed” award in my stable goes to an AU Falcon (nearly always a clutch issue) - lost count. Also water pump failure and AC compressor seizing led to towing events.
Least towed a V6 Peugeot (nil tows), Povo Ute (nil tows, but early days yet!) Once towed: Citroën (heater pipe plastic elbow broke), Alfa (clutch pushrod R-clip broke) Twice towed a 4 cyl Peugeot (clutch cable clip, alternator brushes, both at over 300K) Would I be worried about reliability of a Meggy? Probably not! |
