Hey boys...
Just thought i'd share this pic with you... A few of you from Sydney might remember that really bad hail storm that we had a few weeks ago... Well in the Bankstown area the hail was as big as golf balls. My dads car which was also in the front yard was really badly damaged (Quoted $3800!) But at the first sign of trouble there i was grabbing a whole bunch of towels running out to the front yard and 'hail proofing' her! HA! who says that you need a car port.... But then i now know that i hail stone to the back of the neck hurts as much as a paint ball does!!! Russ

I was about to say, looks rather familiar from a few months ago....
 Curse hail for damaging vehicles.... I had the same problem as you, as soon as i threw the doona over the car, I got nailed myself, heh. But I heal. Tim |

You don't want these rims, wait till I get my new ones to swap! Why, did you gutter yours or something lately?

ah...the benefits of home ownership, being top dog and having the rank to get the garage in stormy weather. my foci was tucked in the garage nice and safe/warm/dry in that storm...

i used to have the garage at my g/f's place but now that the Fiesta is coming along, my car has been kicked out into the cold :(

Well, the RS2000 is about to undergo a bare shell rebuild, and is clearly the faster and more rare of the two, while the Focus is just a daily driver. Unless you are talking about fordel's cars, in which case I agree - the Focus should get the garage! Haha!

have you checked your bonnet under a flouro light yet Russ jut incase you missed some hail stones with you high-tech covering?
I told you about my ute, I thought I had only a couple of dings after a huge hail storm, then under a flouro light in a garage, pimple heaven...

Yeah but if i cant see them then they arnt there!
Once the weather cleared and i took the towels off i did see one in the middle of the bonnet but i looked the next day and i couldnt see it! Too bad that scratch of mine just wont disappear! Russ

LMAO!!! i ****ed myself when i saw the focus' with "Hail Protection", but its a damn good idea.
MIght have to keep an eye out for some Mega Cheap Doonas at Kmart. Staff usually get first picks when manchester goes on clearance... |

lol...you would think the doona would be nice and think but when the hail is the size of tennis balls as it was here a few weeks ago not much is going to save the panels from dents. Generally speaking though you dont get that size hail often.

jeez..here in sunny SA i really cant remember the time i last saw hail....oh wait now i remember....its was last year....on my holiday in melbourne. ha!
