What year model is your Mondeo ?
Sorry. I meant to put that in.
December 2015 build so a 2016 TDCI Titanium wagon.
When it was last serviced BY FORD in July 2019 (its had another one since but not by Ford) the receipt stated maps were updated if new one available but roads that were duplicated 5 years ago still have me driving in paddocks.

First thing to do is check that you have the latest Sync 2 build. You can check and update this yourself using the Ford Owners Dashboard (if registered). From memory, if you don't have the latest Sync version, it may not accept the latest map version. Could be why newer maps weren't installed at your last dealer service (providing they did actually insert the USB or maybe SD card for Sync2 ?).
Good luck.

Anyone seen a newer Australian map than "ANZ 2 20" out in the wild yet? It seems to me Ford missed a year or two from their promise of updated maps.

From the info I have (for Sync 3), map updates normally come out in the last quarter of the calendar year, and run a year behind. So would expect 21 maps to be available around November this year.

Yay, "ANZ 2 21" was released this week. Have just finished updating my PX2 Ranger on Sync 3 v3.4 with the new 2021 Maps.

I believe Sync3 V3.4 updates are released earlier than Sync3 V3.

You could be right, but Sync 3 v3.4 is an easy USB stick upgrade from Sync 3 v2.0.

Officially registering with Ford Owners (https://www.ford.com.au/) should provide the Sync 3 v3.2 download for anyone on Sync 3 v2 or newer that would like the new v3 interface.

My APIM origianlly had Sync 3 v2.0 installed from factory and I have done software updates for it to support the FordPass app.

My version is 3.0.20204, and my Ford Owners Dashboard says "already latest version".
I don't know that this version can be upgraded any further.

Had my 2017 Escape in for service yesterday, no map updates available according to the service center.

But I am duvious of this. Last two times I've had the car serviced I've taken a photo of the maps version screen before dropping it off so I can see if the maps have been updated. Both times I've had to go back in and tell them and have them update again.

Will be giving them a call back to ask what version they have available.

I just picked up a 2016 Mondeo Titanium hatch last weekend and the Sync 3 and maps had never been updated as maps were 1.15

I updated to Sync 3.0 build 20204 after that I tried the Cyanlabs update and now my Sync 3 is 3.4 build 22110 and maps are ANZ 2 21.

Took about 20 mins to install and very happy with the result.

For those of us running Sync 3 V3.0 (not V3.4), I can confirm ANZ 2 21 maps are out.
Had mine updated today by Bremer Ford.
Good to know it is an actual update too. I noticed the Sumners Road Interchange roundabouts are now showing as intersections, on the way home tonite.

Correct, only Ford can update the OE maps.
You can however update the Sync version yourself, if there is one available.
