You can also get into uni as an adult entrant. Or, if you're like me, your parents moved around a lot when you were young and you stayed in preschool for a bit longer than you should've. Finished high school a year ahead of everyone and then deferred your course for a year and get to uni to find you're old (20) compared to most of them. Or young, compared to the rest of them, 30-40+ (not many here).
I shoulda skipped a year at school when I had the chance.

As i said it was only the first semester of first year, so as long as you were paying attention in class i reckon you'd do fine.
The reason i found it a bludge was because i did most of the hard subject through vce(Specialist, physics, info systems, even did Visual communication and design 1&2), so all that the classes did was cover was what i did in school so that they could get everyone to the same level.
So pay attention and you'd be fine, they explain most things to anyway

Mainly coz its REALLY hard to find a job in architecture, a high percentage of architects are supposedly unemployed, u get paid crap as well, and you need experience, ive got a diploma in tafe so basically i should be able to find work, but havent so far.

As for mechanical engineering, u get paid heaps, as the mining industry booms u'l also find it easier to get a job, and, one of my mates who just did tafe with me a couple years back, got a job as a mechanical draftsperson and is getting paid like $40k+ in his first year, this was after just getting a certificate in drafting. A graduate architect will probably get paid similar but has HECS to pay off... a graduate mechanical engineer tho, will probably get closer to $60k.
ME isnt the only course ive been looking into at uni, but yeh, friends and strangers have given me the advice that between architecture and ME, ME is the way to go since architecture is overrated.

First year law student: Managed to get 2 passes and a credit for my three subjects. Which is a major relief, considering that I spent the first 6 weeks doing nothing as I wanted to drop out. But, 2nd semester, new attitude. Can't wait, I have my heart set on law now

I am at college doing graphic design, and i think i have a pass. i took photography but i think i will get an F, which isnt too pleasing
