hi
im looking to install a horn / siren thing under the hood, just need to figure out the best way to run speaker cable from the engine bay into the cabin. with my old eb i ran a amplifier power cable through the clutch cable hole, but i cant seem to locate this for my AU. its a fairmont ghia if it makes a difference cheers Last edited by jones_aus; 04-10-2006 at 07:19 PM. |

if u have an auto it is sealed with a black rubber grommet.. look under master cylinder

My fairmont had a spare grommet above the accelerator just had to punch a hole in it and work the wire through (8 guage power cable for amp)
On my EL I stuck the amp cable through the same hole as the hood release, you could try that too. The only problem you'll have is that it's so thin so you'll need something stronger to pull it through (tie it to the end of some coathanger or something) |

Mine actually has a hole to the upper left of the steering column. I assume it is where the grommet for the manual clutch cable is meant to be...

Well.. i have a clutch, so i used the hole that the bonnet cable goes through to run wiring to my strobe lights (behind my C2R grill).
