Default Will an EF/EL chrome Tbar button work in the AU?

Hi All,

Happen to have an EF/EL chrome shifter button, so was just wondering if these would work in the AU gear knob?

Thanks,

Justin.

No, it wont work. The buttons are completely different internally, and one mechanism will not work the other without some serious "adjustments". And while they are a similar shape, they are actually quite different, much as a rugby ball and an AFL ball are both oval, but different to each other.

For those that still think it will work - I have one of each, and compared, and there is no way an E series one can be made to work in an AU handle.
