Oh so it's all stock? Wow that's one way to look like a noob on a new car forum lol... Sorry guys i've only ever driven sr20's etc so 6's aren't really my thing.

Well in that case would anyone know if there are any off the shelf induction kits?

Cheers

Have you done any other mods to your car?

Usually the best mod you can do to the intake is just change the std panel filter with a K&N Panel Filter.

Some have fitted pods inside the Air Box, some have removed the Air Box and replaced it with a pod but this will just suck in hot air.

If you want to knock your socks off them get an SS Induction Kit which is around $260 which has a bigger mouth and larger inlet into the Air Box.

Or you could get a EL GT Intake

even if you have a wizzbang mandrel bent intake, it wont do much. The stock system is not that restrictive.

Cut a hole in the box behind the headlight, and get a K&N Filter like mentioned above; it will do fine. A bigger snorkel might ive you 0.0001 of a kw.

the ad actually says "You are bidding on a factory air induction kit to suit EF Falcon. This kit comes complete with performance ram pod filter from Jim Mock Motorsport, which specialises in performance enhancements for 4Litre Falcons. "

It points out that its a factory one with the added pod filter. More than likely the guy pulled a 20 buck pod and stuck it on an $40 EF air induction part... possibly from pick and payless My advice is to get a K&N Panel Filter like a few other people have mentioned previously. You will find that almost ANY question you have can be answered buy the guys (and girls) on these forums. So WELCOME

im assuming by their site that they dont make induction systems for an ED?
Does anyone know a company that does?

Here is what SS Inductions have to say for EL to AU

Quote:
Big Mouth™ Cold Air Induction
The standard system is at least 3 times smaller with very restrictive access to the airbox.
SS Inductions’ Big Mouth™ system channels air from the front of the moving car and rams it through the chunky induction directly to the larger intake connected to the standard airbox. The opening in the lower airbox must be enlarged as part of the fitting process.
Expect up to 7kW increase at the rear wheels, smoother performance, more responsive throttle and a considerable fuel saving.
The two-part kit consists of plastic induction unit and plastic connecting intake. RRP $315.00.
Part # CAI008
RRP $315, OH MY GOD

i got te same ss kit for $50 from an autobarn that was closing down missing the adaptor bit to the box though however i have noticed a gain with its fitment and a pod mounted in the air box however i would use a panel as its a bit of stuffing around to fit the pod in the box

You think its stuffing around for EF/EL's! Try fitting a pod to an EB airbox!
