Have had these annoying squeaks( sounds like a small herd of em) coming from under dash and around steering column. Dosent seem life threatening but as the sqeauks are small but high they become quite annoying. Mainly happening with any kinda bumps in the road(nearly all roads). Have tugs on dash, columm, cluster etc. and by tug see if i could make it squeak.
Dont wanna go sprayin wd40 randomly under column LOL Just interested if anyone had similar experience or knew of the source Cheers in advance Ray |

I had a ford dealer tell me a few years ago that the best solution for squeeking or clicking dash boards is to spray a vegitable spray in all the joints. You know, the stuff you spray on your pots to stop food sticking to them. Any way, I have done this each time I get a squeek or crackle and it fixes the problem straight away.

V8's are supposed to be going ahead in 2009. Wont hold my breath though. I went to Darwin at Hidden valley last year and was just so impressed with the whole V8 thing. Can't wait for Townsville to start it here.

Have a listen with your window down and see if it is coming from outside.
I could of sworn the high pitched noise was inside the car, but with the window down I could hear it echoing. The noise was being transmitted up the steering column. Here's the link to my thread which could be a similar problem: http://www.fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11202540 |
