Default Fuel economy on modded Xr6 turbos

Hi guys,
just want some advice. I have a XT SR and am interested in a Nizpro turbo package to take it to 265rwkw. The turbo is fairly small and will be spooling at about 2000rpm. Imagine crusing at 100km at 2000rpm. Fuel economy expected...haha...crap!

I have a friend who is a mechanic, and he said to fit a larger turbo..that will spool later in the rev range, possibly 2500-3000.

Question: and xr6 turbo guys out there with modded cars with an aftermarket system. What is ur fuel economy like?

Why would you turbo an SR ?
The bottom end is not built as strong as a factory turbo to handle the boost and you will require an engineers certificate.

cheers guys....not just turboing, replacing pump, transmission ratio, intake manifold, fuel regulator. Comes with an engineers certificate. Drive in drive away price $4000 for 265rwkw.

Thats GT power from a 5 banger for half the price!

rather the turbo option as it will cost $7000 for a stroker and further $4000 for the blower

Ok firstly why do you even want a 265rwkw falcon if you care even slightly about fuel economy. Secondly a 100kmh wouldn't you be sitting on more 1800rpm with a 3.08:1 diff ratio.

mines flashed tuned and im getting around 350 to 400 a tank, but as someone else said if you worry about fuel then dont bother as they like to gulp it down as soon as you put your foot down

getting in the 13L/100klms atm. 255 rwkw tune.

as soon as i put my 18's on it hurt the economy. more unsprung weight, and more leverage as the weight is further out from the hub now.

dropped around 1.5 on average.
