so obviously its well known that Holden supporters like to make a fuss about how good there cars are (yes in current lineups its a strong arguement...)etc etc and take every opportunity to degrade anything Ford.
i was arguing with my mates about all things Ford and Holden last nite, and it come to me i wish Ford Aus will import the Ford GT or the GTX1 and serve a big cup of stfu to everyone!!! What a halo car that would be!!! yeah i know it will never happen, but just imagine... we can all say with a great big grin on our faces - whats this LS7 GTSR your all talking about.... |

FPV should do a deal with Bowell Nagari and produce the new ones at FPV with GT500 motor's. That'll show them holden fanboys...

lol yeah they probly would - although itd still be Chev Corvette (altough they will prolly badge it as a Monaro/Torana or some whohar crap that they do. Ford GT or Shelby Cobra or whatever will still be a Ford no questions asked.
The main point i was trying to make was Ford AU stop pussy footing around and make use of what Ford as a brand has to offer. GT500 engine in i dont care what style Ford AU = Idiots (But id take a GTX1 over anything....except B. Veyron - which id sell and buy a Porsche Carrera GT, a Ford GTX1, and a E60 M5 + fuel for the lot) |

I know Holden's V8s are american (Chevy- right?),
are Ford's Boss engines designed and made in Australia?

I find the only people who are all out one-eyed Holden bogans who do nothing but bag Ford are the ones with 3 teeth and no idea at all.
There are many Holden supporters out there who like both Holden and Ford and respect each car and the rivalry they bring to motorsport... It's a pity that some evolve at the bottom of the petri-dish and consider themselves super-intelligent...maybe on an amoebic level...

Out of all the holden and commodore sites i go to i rarely see someone putting fords down. On here almost every post has something negative about holdens whether in peoples signatures or in the post itself. i cant work out why its like this in here. |

ok this has degraded....
If my original post seemed like i was one of those skanky bogans that toss up against anything other than a bloody Ford then it was not ment to be like that. All i was saying was that i was in a discussion (harmless argument with some mates) about Ford and Holden, and I was just frustrated that Holden are all too ready to get their hands on American goodies (LS engines), why wont Ford AU grow some balls and do the same in respect to V8 engines. The whole thread was born out of frustration due to the lack of hipo V8 I respect Holdens, like many other ppl, just this saturday i was floggin around the Adelaide hills in a 04 Monaro (the very reason we were having the conversation) with these same mates and having the time of my life. |

Honestly it all stems from power, once you've had a taste of it , you want more.
The gtsr will be a pie in the sky dream, but bragging rights and loyalty often sells cars themselves, when the XY GT came out, how many proud owners would have said "its the fastest four door in the world". If I was brainwashed into thinking Holdens are the fastest, have bigger motors, the won the V8's this year, would I test drive a Falcon? I would as its a personal preference and it isnt a race car, but for some anything with a lion badge is enough, even for 18year old girls with Barinas with HSV stickers as well as the p plate gemini owners, they'll still have too much false pride to think any better. but the "supercar" prototypes that the Holden crew are making are definately a money spinner and good PR excercise. Any exposure is good exposure.
