Default Forged guts for AU motor

hey guys
I sent off an email that people may be interested in the reply to. It was to Atomic Performance Products who do alot of XR6T engine parts regarding a set of internals for an AU turbo motor.

here is the email he replied with.

Quote:
Thanks for the enquiry - we have a 660Kw rated Bulletproof Engine rebuild kit for the AU SOHC that is just the ticket for you - it comprises H/D forged pistons and steel turbo rings, our billet conrods with ARP Bolts, 2 sets Competition bearings, Hi Temp rear main oil seal, Head stud kit, 8 litres of Castrol ProTec run in oil and a genuine Ford oil filter. The cost is $4250.00 and freight is free of charge. This is our latest kit with features such as piston crown cooling and pressure fed oiling to the gudgeon pins. Head studs are way better than bolts to hold the head in place and this is the only other real weak link in the engine (once the H/D internals are fitted).

We have been building performance engines since 1978 and have been heavily involved with the SOHC/DOHC 6 cylinders since 2004 so if you just require parts, or machining as well so you can assemble it yourself, we can help you no probs..........

Cheers, Brad

Not bad money either, in fact I'll call that pretty cheap.

Got that email from them aswell when I spoke to them, make that $4,900 if you want to add a stud girdle and $5,400~ for the racing harmoic balancer.
Definately the path I will be going down when its time.

They also do a 900kw package.

There are very mixed results and opinions when it comes to Atomic. Have a read the B Series and the Turbo area.

Is that an assembled short block, or parts only?
