Default Fuel Economy on Gas for AU3 Marlin XLS Ute

Was wondering what is the typical fuel economy for LPG on this model. This was an after market conversion. Currently I get about 5 km per litre LPG around town and about 7 on a highway run

there is a fuel economy thread in the AU section somewhere i believe, a search should find the thread and you can compare with others.

OK ... 5km/L equates to ... ummm ... pretty much 20L/100km.
It is a bit much I guess ... it depends what you drive like around town.

The factory EGAS models were around 15L/100km combined from memory ... I have seen 20L/100km in the city with heavy load in the back ... no problems.

On highways ... i drop to about 11-12L/100km ... depending on right foot.

When was the last time you had the gas side of things serviced????
What LPG system is installed???
When was the O2 sensor replaced???? (I just replaced mine as it was using a bit more LPG ... it uses a heap less now since I changed this out)
How many kays has the ute done???

5 is a bit poor for an AU 6. If you are only doing very short trips or stop start then that possibly OK. 6 is more whatb it should be with a gas ring style. Country can be as high as 9 at 110kph for a long trip. This is for a 4Lt auto sedan which has a diff ratio of 3.08.
I don't know the Marlin but utes are 3.3? something (XR's are 3.55) This would reduce the economy somewhat.

Just to add to Bob's post above,

In Auto form:
Base utes ran a 3.23:1 diff.
XR utes ran a 3.45:1 diff.
