Default Fitting new fuel pump AUII Tradesman

Hello all,

Was out in the AUII Cab chassis, dual fuel, running on petrol, going to fill up the lpg tank. The engine stalled, and I noticed while trying to start it again, which it wouldn't, the fuel pump was silent. The RACV gave the tank a tap, and she started up again ok, though the pump didn't sound like it usually does. He agreed with me that the fuel pump has probably died. It runs ok on lpg so I can get around. So I have a few questions...

Anyone installed a new fuel pump in a cab chassis? Prolly easiest way would be to take the tray off. How about a new fuel filter too? How much for a new pump and filter?, not from Ford though - too expensive. Any special tools needed? Would I need to depressurise the fuel system?

Hmmm, so no-one has? Never mind, did it anyway. Took the tray off, only 6 bolts, instead of trying to get the fuel tank out. A new Goss pump (made in Melbourne) and Ryco filter, all running fine now. By parking on the angle and level of my sloped driveway, I didn't have to jack up to change the fuel filter.
