Google 'bollards', it looks like there are a few manufacturers.
Isn't it a shame that we have to resort to this kind of security? |

There are plenty of websites about them. Don't know if they would be too much of a deterant. If a thief wants your car badly enough they'll find a way to pinch it unfortunately. Sux doesn't it Dave, you bust your nuts to get something nice then some other scumbag wants it more than you do

I had a pole system a few years ago similar to this one
Impact Security The company I used has closed down. When we put them in last time I was extremely happy with them. We even drove the 4x4 into em to see how strong they were. Stuffed the bullbar and pole still in place. I have been looking at these again lately myself. They are about $430 + gst per pole. |

Just insure the bloody thing.
Unless it's an authentic GTHO, something original you've had for years or the product of hours of your own work, insurance should be fine. Set your agreed value high enough to compensate you for any theft and there you go. Just how many people here think they cannot be adequately financially compensated if their car went missing? My car's a pretty stock XR8, I'd happily take my agreed value if it got stolen. |
