Maybe i need to put the hard word on the dealer for a typhoon - cost plus $1 and i will take it!
I was in at our local dealer last week and the sales team were desperate to get me to drive anything - g6et, gtp, gte whatever for an extended test. Now i know why.

Yeah, If you havent got a trade in, you could really screw the dealer down. Starting to hear of some great second hand deals. On one of the other threads a member bought a BF MK11 XR8 with 78k for 20 grand. A mate of mine done better. He got a Black BF MK11 XR8 6 speed, 61k for 18 grand. For that price I could put up with unleaded being $1.20 a litre !!!

In the article OP posted:

A major Sydney Ford retailer is offering cars to selected customers at factory cost plus just $1.
...
Anyone knows who's doing this now? I'm looking for a new or used car without finance.
Cheers

Looks like a lot of them only have themselves to blame. I'm in small business. If my business starts to go bad I think I'll ask for a handout like big business...........
