Default Excessive handbrake squeal?

I've just had my handbrake adjusted about a week ago, and now its squealing massively when I turn right, and going around right hand corners. It used to squeal for a minute after releasing the handbrake and then it would stop. Now, it doesnt matter what I do, or how fast/slow i'm going, whenever I turn right, there is a loud piercing squeal. Its getting a bit embarassing, let alone annoying.

Anyone suggest a course of action?

It looks like your handbrake is either adjusted up too much or not releasing fully after you use it, which is a common fault in the AU's. Try this, just as you drive off from being parked with the handbrake on and doing about 3-5 kph, firmly snap your handbrake on and off quickly. This should release the handbrake discs until the next time you use it and stop the squealing. Worked for me and will possibly work for you in your situation. Good luck.

the side of hand brake shoe can also rub against the inside of the disk. make sure the little retaining clip is holding the shoe nicely out of the way. both my TS and the XR8 stocked squealing once i had checked all this.

Yeah I've had a little look, theres nothing out of place that I can see. I actually helped adjust the handbrake at the mechanics, and I was happy with the way it was adjusted. I'm just wondering why its only when I turn right? Would it be the left or right hand side? Which maybe I could back one side off by 1 click?

Same thing is happening with my car. Ford tightened the hand break and insisted they do it at the actual wheel, not just adjust the bolt in the cabin.

On the way home it was squealing as I pulled into my driveway. Never had a chance to take it back and have had problems with it ever since. Now it's not holding unless I pull it up very hard when idling in drive or reverse.

So take it back and insist it is made to work right!

Yeah, I'll get it back to him at some point soon, as I need to have a transmission yoke thingy replaced. In the mean time, the trick chippitydip suggested has worked so far.
