Well I rekn it's about time we did this, especially seeing as there are clubs for just about everyone else I think we've been left out even though we are the best of a good bunch :
Guys I actually have already registered the club, about 3-4 years ago actually, Spooly and Theo are the club secretary and treasurer but I can't remember which of them wore the skirt though. I think it's time we had our own club, after putting the tag in my sig I had a number of enquiries but was holding off due to other commitments, well things might be looking up soon so I should have some more time on my hands to do what needs doing. At this point I'd like a show of hands to see how many would be keen to go to the next level and actually get together for a meeting to get some ideas up and maybe even organize a cruise in the next few weeks. For now a list will be fine as I don't think my pm box could cope (it's almost full now) so those of you that are interested in perhaps getting together at some point in the next few weeks for either a cruise or meeting or perhaps combine the two then place you name/username on the list. Once we have a good number of people we can get things rolling. This is predominantly for those in Vic but should not discourage any interstaters from adding their names, I will be looking to set up interstate chapters of course and would like some expressions of interest from interstate forum members. So for now add your names and lets get the ball rolling, just copy the list and add your name or maybe if Spooly can add them to the main list might be easier that way we can see the numbers in the first post. Thanks Stef Forgot to mention that we need someone to do up a web page so if anyone would be capable of doing that your time will be rewarded, thanks : : : : : : F6 Owners Club Ok well Sunday October 25th it is then, we will meet up at the BP Calder Park on the Calder Park or outbound side at 8:30am for an 8:45am take off as per the schedule that I posted earlier. With 18 cars I'd say this will be the biggest cruise involving F6's ever organized so we should certainly attract some attention. I'll have the first postand title changed to reflect the date as well as put the starting times and location, possibly the schedule in there as well so as people can see straight away dates and locations. Also if anyone has any suggestions of somewhere to eat put them forward so I can enquire about possibly arranging some tables so we can guarantee enough seats. I've intentionally made it a late lunch so that we avoid the lunch rush but ye maybe it might be better to book or at least let them know we'll be coming. Somewhere reasonably priced with decent food, no need for fine dining. 1. BAXR6BOSS - Oz 2. Ozzyiceman - MYFPV6 - Dave 3. Venom XR Turbo - Clint 4. Redrum - Jase 5. XRQTR - Girl 6. Would you stop getting ahead of yourself. That's another good reason to have a get together in a few weeks to discuss things such as membership costs as well as perks. Remember that question at that meeting :

LOL you mongrel I just noticed what you did
Guys I'd like to start getting an idea of maybe when everyone would like to get together for meeting or maybe a cruise and a meeting, and if it's the second then perhaps some suggestions. I wouldn't mind heading out through Kynetona and Castlemain myself, alot of nice twisty roads as well as some very nice eateries. The other option would be a BBQ, we could hit the lake at Kyneton, plenty of room to park and get group shots. I think that possibly around the end of this month sometime or middle of next would be good as the weather will be fining up a little and would certainly make for some rather nice photo ops. Anyway I'll leave it open to suggestions and we can decide on a date as well as travel route and eating options as we go, maybe take suggestions till around the 14th then take a vote on what people would prefer.

I wouldnt mind somewhere a little oceanic, round the coastal sides ... Most importantly if we are given at least 2-3weeks notice prior to the meet

To be honest I was trying to steer clear of the GOR as this has been done to death LOL, if everyone wants this though I don't have an issue but just thought people might want something a little different. As for notice thats not an issue as a date would be set at about the same time as the travel route and destination.

Ok if their are no more interested parties at this point then I think perhaps we should look at organising this first get together and cruise.
Without heading up thruohg the bushfire regions I'd say the three other possible routes would be Great Ocean Rd say to Apollo Bay, Beach Rd to Sorrento or out through Kyneton and Castlemain regions. Of course we could incorporate the GOR and Sorrento by going a little earlier and catching the ferry accross, do a morning tea along the surf coast and then late lunch in Sorrento, just a thought. I was thinking if we looked at maybe the later part of this month or even mid next month for a possible date at this point to see who's available for these times. This would make the 29/30 at the end of this month and 5/6 or 12/13 of September, we could always leave it till October if these dates don't work for most people as their really is no rush I just wanted to get a feel for peoples schedules at these times. Anyways check your work and personal commitments around these dates and post up your preference as to a possible route for the cruise.

I'm only one, however 12th/13th Sept is a no go for me! I have an around the clock plant upgrade at Baiada Poultry that weekend.
Also keep in mind some might have footy finals interests once we start getting deeper into Sept? Either of the earlier 2 dates would be my personal preference. As for the route?.. I'm easily pleased with what the majority decides.

I would prefer Saturdays (although I work on Saturdays, will take it off work) only reason being is that it will be a long day with driving around, etc and would want the following day to rest and relax a little, if you can see where im coming from...

How about the first weekend after the Grand Final then??
And maybe a Kyneton/Castlemaine morning on to a Forest to Apollo Bay afternoon, sorry but I love Forest, very few cars and the people that go this way don't fart a$$ about. For anyone that hasn't been it's a nice drive then people can return along the GOR. This way we can have a full day of good sweeping roads, if everyone is ok with this then I'll start working out a touring route.

Well a rough guide for the day so far:
--@8:30am - Meet at BP Calder Park, fuel up and coffee --@8:45am - Depart --@9:30am - Arrive at Kyneton, drive through onto Daylesford --@10am - Arrive at Daylesford, visit the lake for a possible photo op?? Then on through Ballan towards Geelong --@12:15 - Geelong for a refuel should anyone need to, there are plenty 98ron servos --@2:30 - Arrive at Apollo Bay for a late lunch and a nice bottle of red So this is what I've come up with so far if everyone is happy with that then I'll get maps sorted and we can decide whether Saturday or Sunday suits most people. I'm easy for either so I don't mind, these times are approximate according to Whereis.com.au and will serve well as a rough guide only so we may well get there a little earlier. Kyneton will essentially be a drive though, nice and easy to take in the scenery but no stops planned unless someone really needs to LOL. With the lakes at Daylesford we can stop for a photo op as there would be lots of room to park all the cars together to get a fairly comprehensive group shot with a decent bit of scenery. Also it allows for a short break for those not used to driving long distances. From here we cut accross through Ballan and Fiskville to Geelong, Fiskville if anyone is interested is actually the main training grounds for the CFA. Geelong will be the last stop before Apollo bay, so this will be your best chance to top up with fuel as there aren't many 98ron servos after that for those that need 98, myself included. It can also be used as a quick pit stop for anyone in need of one, like I said this will be the final stop before Apollo Bay so use it wisely LOL Once in Apollo Bay there are plenty of eateries where we can have a sit down meal, I've tried to time it so that we be there at around 2:30 in the arvo which means the rush should be over and we can get a seat quite easily. We could also look for some photo spots unless someone already knows a few if people wanted to get more pics. Well I need feed back from all you lot now so we can set a definite date for this, it's the first weekend of October so either Sat 3rd or Sun 4th of October which is still six weeks away so plenty of time to organize what needs doing as well as time off work if anyone needs to do that. Also if anyone thinks this will be too much for them then maybe we could look at it again if enough people feel it might be a little long, myself I think it's kind of short LOL but I'm compromising for you : Let me know as quickly as you can so we can set it and forget it till the time comes. Regards Stef p.s. I will also bring along any ideas of artwork I have for club shirts, caps and jackets, I had one jacket done around the time I registered it which some of you may have seen so I'll be wearing that as well as a couple of caps I had done at the time also.
