Can anyone identify this. Has no brand on it but the instruments are made by Jaeger of England, a subsidiary of Smiths as far as I can find out. The body of it is made out of Bakelite and was at one time painted a sliver colour although no idea if this was factory or not.
The challenge is laid down..................

I couldn't identify it, even though I have had a ride in one probably 10 yr ago - it was on a wet skidpan at Deca so I don't think I was concentrating on the dash! |

i thought it would be a bit distracting to have the all the important instruments right in the middle of the dash, that it would make you take your eyes from the road to glance at it.

Everything old is new again - quite a few new cars have the instrument cluster central eg first X-Trail, Echo/Yaris
Don't forget when these were built new there wasn't an open road speed limit! Mind you 60mph would be a high cruising speed in the mid-50's. |
