Default Forza Motorsport 3 (AFF Nurburgring Challenge)

Well im currently of work for a while with a 6 fractures in my spine so im getting some quality time with the couch . Its been roughly 3 weeks now and im getting quite bored. So my lovely girlfreind bought me forza 3 to pass the time .
I remembed how big the forza thread was so i thought i start a Challenge on here .

TRACK : Nurburburgring Nordschleife - Full Curcuit 20.76km
CAR : Shelby GT500 '07 (STOCK)
AUTOBRAKE : Off
ANTILOCK BRAKE : On
STABILITY CONTROL : On
TRACTION CONTROL : Off
SHIFTING : Auto
SUGGESTED LINE : Full
CONTROLLER : Standard xbox controller
LAP TYPE : 1 Hot lap (from stand still )
REWINDS : 0

This was my first and only try at that's the time i got , Not the best but its a start . I hope that others will give it ago .
With all the same settings a post your results like i have . To help pass the time.
Well good luck

But i will be in on this and give it my all. If i can get away from playing NHL 10.

Pretty sure the GT500 is in Need for Speed shift.

I'm gonna have a crack at Nurburgring in Need for Speed shift and see if my times are comparable to yours in Forza!

We can change the settings later, cars, tracks and etc later .Just give this one a go for now.

Bog stock yeah?

I'll give this a shot tonight.

I won't have stability, full line (braking only) and it will be manual shifting though.

Give it a go, you never know, is it a 2007 Shelby GT500, and are you able to turn the traction control off...
I just bet my previous time by aprox 4 seconds, Ill post the pic up later...

Does any-one know if there is an official time for the Shelby GT500 around the Nurburgring track

Nurburgring times are not recorded using the start finish line.

Only did 1 lap
manual and abs only
8.57.04
I'll have a proper crack when I get some more free time. I'd assume I can get it around 9:50. As I lost atleast 2sec in the carosel(sp*)

I just done it again I got
From standing start : 9.16.422
and on the roll on :9.01.38

I have no doubt it can be done faster . But aprox 19 sec faster im not sure . Are you sure your times aren't roll on times.

I'm going to do it right now, I think a new car and settings each week would be a nice challenge.

Sounds like fun!

Did you have to pick the nurburgring though ?
If you stuff up a corner or two, you waste like 9 minutes of your time haha.

I will give it a crack though.

You should do flying laps, it makes it easier to string together back to back laps instead of restarting the races. Also, it is possible for people to claim a standing start when it as in fact a flying lap and posting a time that's wrong.

If that's what people want no worries . Its not hard to hit start then restart though.
Personally i like the single lap so i can play with tyre pressures

This is my last attempt of this track, it's so frustrating and I'm starting to despise it.
