Default Evo Magazine: Ferrari 458 Italia v Porsche 911 GT3 RS

"Sell your house!" ...lol

Ferrari 458 Italia v Porsche 911 GT3 RS

An evo world exclusive: Chris Harris compares the Ferrari 458 Italia and Porsche 911 GT3 RS on video

Ferrari’s latest 562bhp V8 Berlinetta has changed the way we think about sports cars - it’s the first of a new, digital breed. The Porsche 997 GT3 RS is perhaps even more stunning on road than it is on track. Its ingredients are more basic, but its appeal is infectious.

They’re not direct rivals, but they’re two of the most exciting high performance cars we’ll drive all year. Chris Harris attempts to adjudicate.

The Ferrari looks amazing and sounds porn! But I can't go pass a good old manual and clutch! So 1 porsche for me, thanks!

This is something that continues to be lost these days and I am glad Porsche offer a normal old school manual; any other way is just pretending.

Awesome cars, but the RS for me too.

Great stuff. The Porsche is not comparable for me, as it is not a "road" car - mind you the Ferrari seems to be at the boundaries of what you could daily drive, and a normal GT3 is roadable - I used to see one regularly in peak hour going over some large speed humps.

I am very interested to see how the new McLaren compares!
