Default 322mm fronts

Hi Matt, I bought a set of RDA front and rear discs and some other brand of pad (wish I knew what they where cause their bloody brilliant!) for all 4 ends about 12-18 months ago.

In all they have been ok, but within 6 months I ended up with what I would call a hot spot and minor warping. I was happy to live with it for ages until rcently when it's been getting colder and the front shakes almost as badly as the stock crappy discs did. You did say that my best option was to later put on a set of 322mm (premo BA discs with PBR callipers). How much for the front discs only? And would I need new pads to go with the different calliper?

Also/or do you have any full front premo kits laying around? Do you sell em?

Thanks, I'm just getting a little worried about this shudder and what it could be doing to the car... and effectiveness of brakes in an emergency.

I should take it to Pedders then and have an inspection. Upgrade brakes would still be worth looking at esp if the test comes back ok.

Some pads leave resin spots on the discs near the slots which cause some shudder or it could be hot spots as well.If you could narrow down the time frame of when you purchased them i may be able to find the original invoice with the pad type. The rotors may just need a light skim to fix them but hard to say for me up here.
Excuse my ignorance but what is " premo " is it the 322mm or 325mm premium upgrade you mean and if so i do not have any of these sorry.
The 322mm uses the same brake pad but the rotor and caliper need to be changed.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the info! Sorry about using slang earlier 'premo' meant premium. I am interested in the 322's or 325's. Can you tell me the prices? And it wouldnt hurt to know the 355mm fronts too.

I understand that either of these kits need new calipers and brackets too? Please include this into the prices.

I found the invoice, 17th Dec 09. The pads were Lucas. They are awesome! Happy to stick with those. They still have planty of meat on them, but if I need new calipers and brackets I assume I would need new pads too?

Sorry to ask so many questions, I want to understand what I buy, not just buy them cause someone said so.

Thanks

Sorry mate be carefull of kits selling for this price. The rotors in our kits are DBA4000 slotted which are nearly the price of those kits and all the calipers are new pbr ones with braided lines also supplied. The 325mm kit is the same as the BA GT set up.

That's not too bad if that includes braided lines along with DBA4000s.

The sets i have seen for $700-800 are just for RDA rotors ... and no lines with them. so the price difference is still competitive really.
