Default 2011 fiesta Zetec upshift light

Hello,
Does anyone know of a way to turn off the upshift light on a 2011 fiesta?

didn't know they had one, is it an Econetic or a zetec, as the zetecs aren't available yet?

I was sure only the ECOnetic model was fitted with this feature? Some guys in Europe have it on their Zetec/Titanium models but Australian spec Fiestas (non ECOnetc models) shouldn't have it? Unless they're putting it on new models?

definately a zetec not an eco. light is a pain in the ***, trys to tell you to upshift to 5th when in 4th uphill at 1500rpm. would be nicer with out it i feel.

My Girlfriend is getting a new zetec this week i would be able to tell you if it does and i might ask Ford in Toowoomba if it can be turned off,

I've been through the manual & find no mention of being able to turn it off....

Break or remove the bulb?

doubt you can just pull a Fuse - more than likely built into the dash,

Otherwise anyone know if the ECU has been cracked? Can always turn it off from there.

yeah they'd have to have a way to turn it off thats straight forward surely, as different models would all use the same dash...

someone will figure it out at some point
