Default ZK EFI motor into a 72 model Mustang

Hi all
Ive got a 72 model Mustang convertible
it has the old 250 pre crossflow motor and a C4 trans
now I also have a 351 Cleveland and FMX
sitting in the shed

but now I have just bought a ZK Fairlane
with the six cylinder EFI motor in it

Im tossing up between the V8 and the EFI six

has any one out there fitted an EFI to a carb motor

Ive done it before but it was an XE EFI to an XE carb car
so every thing bolted up OK

Just looking for some info at the moment

the V8 would be the bees knees

but the six would keep everything legal

when I changed the XE motors
the computer and loom werent a problem

so Im assuming it wont be on this car either

also the ZK will give me 4 wheel discs
thanks John

A Ba or BF motor and trans would be a better option and sell you existing six. If you can afford it.

one of those old cross flow EFI engines is not something i would consider for a mustang....get an EFI windsor from an eb-au

Go the six...any six.
Anyone can drop a V8 into a Mustang...doing something a little different draws more attention. Personally I'd love to be able to drop the 4.0 six cylinder engine and six speed auto from our G6E into an old mid-sixties Mustang...now that'd be an interesting ride...

There's also the little fact that if you go to a car show, try and find a six cylinder mustang...they're rare as hens teeth nowadays, as over the decades it was almost "automatic" that someone would just throw away the six and chuck a V8 in it. I talked to a Mustang guy who was displaying a very nice 1966 'stang near our Morris Minor at a small car show aseveral years back, and plenty of people commented on the fact that he still had the six cylinder and auto fitted. He said the temptation was always there to run with the crowd and do the "easy thing" and put a V8 in it, but he preferred to leave a mildly worked six in it.

Spend 500$ at the smash auctiones and find an el/au
make the ransplant from there or spend a little more for a really late model 6 and 225kw from an au is reasonably easy and wll move the mustang easily
