GM builds a BMW 1-Series Coupe

Chevrolet's Code130R strongly resembles a BMW 1-Series Coupe.
Chevrolet has cracked someone else's code: turbo + rear-wheel-drive = fun.

If you think the Code130R looks like a BMW 1-Series Coupe, you'd be right. It's the most blatant rip-off since you could buy a Tag-Hauer in a Chinese alley.

And if General Motors thinks the name of its latest concept car is some kind of hidden code, it better not take up poker anytime soon: it even borrowed the '130' digits from BMW, but found the decency to leave behind the lower case 'i'.

Underneath the curved, BMW-like hips is the same framework as the new Cadillac ATS sedan, also unveiled at the Detroit show overnight.

Chevrolet Code130R has certain BMW 1-Series Coupe look to it.
Translated this means that the Code130R is based on a premium architecture that means it will probably be pretty good, but also pretty expensive.

As with the Cadillac ATS this concept is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder petrol engine.

And, as with the Cadillac ATS, it's unlikely for Australia, as all of GM's cool, hi-po rear-drive cars are.

Ugly yes. But definitely has a masculine look about it when compared to the lady-boy looks of the BMW counterpart!

They have done 2 concepts, the other one looks so much better it isn't funny. But the good looking ones FWD, and the ugly as a hatful one is RWD.

Switch them please GM.

Problem is they both use a 110 kw version of the Cruze 1.4 turbo. ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

That's more like it. As a concept, the RWD is boring. Much prefer the look of the FWD.
