Default Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport Vitesse

Never been a real fan of the Veyron but this looks tasty

The Grand Sport Vitesse (which means ‘speed’ in French) combines the ultimate performance enhancements of the Super Sport coupe with the open-top appeal of the conventional Grand Sport convertible.

Like the Super Sport, the quad-turbocharged 8.0-litre W16 engine in the Grand Sport Vitesse is boosted from 736kW/1250Nm to an almighty 883kW of power and 1500Nm of torque

The Grand Sport Vitesse will have a top speed in excess of 400km/h, although Bugatti is yet to confirm if its top speed will match the Super Sport’s 431km/h production car record.

Confirmation of the high-performance Veyron convertible has been anticipated since last month’s announcement from Bugatti transmission supplier Ricardo, which revealed a contract extension to continue supplying seven-speed dual-clutch gearboxes to Bugatti for another two years.

Prices are yet to be revealed, but the Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport Vitesse will almost certainly top two million euros ($2.49 million), making it the most expensive production car in the world

I wonder if they'll limit the speed when you have the roof down. I could imagine the average person's hair, or the rich person's toupée tearing off their head down a straight at 430 km/h.

Insane car nonetheless.

I would love a Veyron, one of the best displays of automotive engineering!!!!

The hard part would be choosing the colour scheme, if you could afford one, I have spent close to 1 hour on the Veyron site looking at the colours for selections, there are tooooo many!!!!

Just preparing for my lotto win so I don't waste time at the dealership....haha

I thought they had stopped building them, or were very close to finishing the allocated build run?

I thought they built a lot less than 300. Purely for the fact of the cost.

Whats the price differance between a zonda and veyron?
