Isn't it just a scrap yard? Ones in cities just have to turn over their stock due to a lack of space. At least this one has some older stuff still.

They are owned by a Peak Hill resident and he's said no to a gazillion offers over the years.

Sad, sad sight.
From back when most cars were absolutely beautiful. When designers cared to make a car functional, but sometimes quirky, and jaw-dropping to look at.

I would love the car industry to bring some of that back, along with the new advancements. Cars would yet again be something special, I reckon. Not just appliances.

All of those cars would be beautiful if someone did them up again.

I agree 100%!!! I am a much bigger fan of the old steel, doesn't matter if its Ford, Holden, Valiant etc!!! New cars don't have any character to them, nothing but tin cans... No offence to new car owners...

Like the wrecking yard just outside of Cooma NSW, acres of old cars. I went there to buy stuff. would not let me in the gate, and basically got told to "go back to Sydney send a list of what I need and he'll get back to me"

I convinced him after half an our to let me look at what he's got so I can make a list.

loads of complete cars Holden Ford Chrysler XR to XC, Toranas, 50's stuff, complete untouched rusting away.

Sent a list got no response.....

Not sure what he's wrecking but he ain't selling any of the old stuff.

There is a bloke like that here near Scone, has yards and sheds full, when he gets the cars he puts them up on bricks, covers the exhausts with plastic bags and lets them sit. People have offered to buy them off him for good money but he wont budge.

There's a property near here just outside of Tanunda which has what looks like hundreds of cars on it. I drive past it every day on my way to work.

That green on sitting on top of another car centered in two of the pics, I think could be a 61 Dodge Phoenix. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure it is.
