Have any Falcon's appeared in movies before?
I'm talking more the E series, AU, B series or FG? Would be thinking more an FPV such as a GT or something like that. Just out of interest. |

Check out Internet Movie Cars Database
http://www.imcdb.org/vehicles_make-F...el-Falcon.html Note that alot of the images are of American and Argentinian Falcons from various international films. |

I seem to remember the sci-fi movie "Fortress" (1992, Christopher Lambert) filmed in Australia but set in the USA had a lineup of cars at a road block at night. The cars close to the camera were mostly Ford Capri convertibles (as Ford was making LHD ones), but the cars further from the cameras were, I think, EA Falcons with misted windshields so you didn't see the steering wheel location.
I also remember the police cars in the original "Punisher" movie starring Dolph Lundgren, again filmed in Australia, were nearly all CL and CM Valiants, but I think there may have been a Falcon or two in there. Once again, no close ups so you could see the steering wheel location, but in the background of a street scene you could see the old "CES" (Commonwealth Employment Service) sign prominently visible. More EA Falcons are visible in the street scene in front of the Daily Planet in the first of the rebooted Superman movies (where Superman stops the Daily Planet rooftop globe falling on people in the street below...he sets it down on the roof of a Volvo.) |

The big steal, had a ZL Fairlane in the forecourt of the car dealership with a big 'V8 Power' sign plastered across the windscreen............ Shame the ZL never had a V8!

In some high rating movie from a few years ago (I can't remember which one), I think Nicolas Cage runs through an underground car park, and runs straight past a Territory. Didn't even know the movie was made in Australia till I saw that.

^^ thanks for the correction...for some reason I thought she was in a Fairlane for the lead up but the actual car that went off the cliff was a $200 wrecker special that was something else.
And yes- very sad that you remember it that well |

Was it Godzilla that was shot in Sydney and had scenes with falcons painted yellow like NY cabs?

Two Hands has a sweet hardtop.
Not theatrical movies, but the TV movie Blue Murder and the Underbelly series have plenty of Falcons.
