Yeah because building 3500 units a month retailing at $20k is somehow going to be more profitable than building 3500 units retailing at $40k?

But then it would be Australian made, and so Australians would no longer buy it as it isnt imported, and so the neighbours wont be impressed.

Isn't he a former FPV PR manager? I'm sure he used to work for FPV.

Prediction- Drive will write at least 50 absolute rubbish stories this year based on pure speculation and poor research.

Prediction- Drive will write an article a week predicting the demise of Toyota's Australian manufacturing, with made up sources saying when it will be announced.

I love the comments about Audi claiming to reset the benchmark for affordable luxury motoring. I swear they have not changed a thing for years. Soo boring...

Very well written and extremely amusing to car nuts. Talents maybe wasted as a motoring journalist.

Not forgetting that this is the Journo who listed his 2014 Top 10 Must See Motoring Events as...............

Summernats
Geneva motor show
Australian Grand Prix Melbourne
Ferrari Racing Days
Le Mans 24 hour
Goodwood Festival of Speed
Pebble Beach Concours USA

Agreed, swap the Ute Muster for the Bathurst 12 hr race and that list looks good.
