Default What drivers are doing behind the wheel

This looks interesting...

The Monash University findings have led researchers to take a different approach to improving road safety. Instead of calling for lower speed limits, safer car technologies or more funding, they are looking to psychology, and specifically, to mindfulness.

A more refreshing approach than the norm.

A quick search on this forum and you will find I beat them to it.

The offenses with the highest penalties should be those related to awareness of other drivers and the surroundings

Sad part is these people that look at their phones every two minutes while driving probably drive less than a hour a day, but they still can't help themselves.

I admit I use my phone as much as everyone else during the day, but I still manage to never look at it while driving.
If I were to guess I would probably drive 2-3 hours on an average day.
It's amazing what you can achieve with a little bit of willpower. Exercise your willpower muscle, the more you do it the stronger it gets. It's good for a range of things, not just safe driving.

As I said before at https://fordforums.com.au/showthread.php?t=11475536 with autonomous cars this is where this is headed: https://www.usatoday.com/story/money...nds/2090758002

But some U.K. researchers have identified a potentially more risqué repercussion of the autonomous vehicle revolution: more sex in cars since no one has to be behind the wheel.

An interesting study has concluded that self-driving cars will lead to passengers having more sex in the car, and could eventually turn out to be the go-to option for ‘sex for hire’ as well. Although it sounds a little hysterical for now, this could affect urban tourism a lot more than you might think.
Let's hope self total black out car windows also come with that.
