Default Mondeo Rocker Panel Clips fix

Ok I ordered these new clips from Ford to replace the missing rocker panel clips on the passenger side but they don't clip ???

Anyone else have the same issue and have a fix for it.

Have a look at the below attached image. You need both the pin clip and nut labelled HM1 and HM2 in the image, part numbers W716503 S300 and W716350 S300 respectively. Do you have them both?

Doesn't the clip secure into nut? i.e. you need to push them into what they call the nut. What was the part number you bought? I think you need them both to work in conjunction with each other.

W716503 S300 : https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/OEM-Genu...EAAOSw7RJeh4k6

If you look at the diagram you gave me HM1 goes side ways on the upper part of the rocker panel HM2 if you look at the pictures I provided clip side ways into rocker panel then your meant to push up into holes on the body of the car and they should just clip in but there not clipping in or barley at all and pop back out apparently it's common. I need to know from someone who has had the same issue and what there fix for it was. My last resort is going to a panel shop and pay more money out of my wallet.

I wouldn't get them from Ford. We're missing 4 on our MD and I went to spare parts while it was getting the battery harness recall. They stated $10.80 each. For a plastic clip.

Have it all fixed now I took it to a panel shop and discovered there was a misalignment and slight damage they fixed it all up and checked the other side for me and for added measure they used Automotive Silastic at key locations to prevent the clips popping out again as they said this is common on the MD's.

Thanks for the info. Might have to try it myself. They do seem a bit loose and I'm missing a couple of clips on either side.

Good luck apperently there a real pain in the butt there easily breakable as there a very poor design. You might need to have real good access to the underneath to see everything as they had a hoist to put my car up onto.

At least I don't have to go to Bunnings now.
