nah, body kits are not the be all and end all. The AU1 doesnt need them, the curves of it stand out without it. VERY nice ride there!

yeah, I think body kits look overdone and make the car look heavy. Mudflaps have to come off though.

The AU XR6 is a nice looking car, with or without the body kit IMO.

Great pic.

Yeah I remember that aswell...

forgot to say great color aswell - also one thing that would smick it up a bit more.. Ditch the red stripe.. Get a hair dryer and some Eucylptus oil and she comes straight off...

With Stripe

Without

dommuz- nice looking car - and great colour too.

Cubie - your car looks great! Now for some forced induction and it will go great too. Or even a DEV4/5 kit from JMM should get it beating most stock V8s

both of those sound like a great way to go.. Got to get these brakes upgraded first,, just need to get the swaybars, stubaxles and lower control arms and be straight to Revell and they are going to put the castor kit in at the same time.

Then she will be right for some tuning

Refer to my post above.. I was hesitant about removing it.. After I did I was glad.

Saw this black S1 XR8, full tickford kit, lowered, big chromies looked the goods.. I was very tempted to say to him, man that looks good but get rid of the stripe..

I took off my stripe... no way I'd ever put it back on either. Looks 10 x better without it.

Taking the stripe off is akin to taking the Tickford wings off. I mean it was a Tickford inspired design feature.

That's it flame me now!

I liked the red stripe when I had my AU1XR8. It kinda matched up well with the red XR8 badges, the red XR logo on the headlight covers, and if ever I got around to doing it, would've matched up well with the red calipers. On a black XR with full kit, it looks good. You know it's a "sports" model when it has that red stripe.. :.

ps: What happened to the "test pic"?
