Default Juiced

For the closet ricer racer in us all this game is for you.. Picked it up today (available on XBOX, PS2 and PC) and absolutely love it, only given it about 4hours of play so far and addicted.. IMO better then GT4 I know big call, but Juiced just takes it to a new level...

Stay tuned to this thread as I find out more...

Does Juiced have in car views?

I prefer being in the car to drive it not an overhead and behind playstation view. It's just not the same.

I've been putting off buying it because the box doesn't show an in car view.

Played it and completed it a long time agao, great fun game indeed, especially the betting part of it hehe $25+ mil at the momment; )

Its good that you can pink slip race for your cars, only in game not over the LAN though which is annoying.

Only bad part is the computer cars will always want to race for your highest horsepower car, and when you have 700+ beasts they are a to control.

Having another 3 racers on your team is a good thing as well, can direct them to race and train them up to get better and betterw ith each race.

havent played it for a long time now gotten very bored of it

MCIII is crap, i wouldnt waste my money on it.

GT4 is still way better then juiced by far

Chris

Nah my favourite game at the moment ios FORZA MOTORSPORT, that game craps on GT4, and it more realistic. You turn off the ABS and all hell breaks loose. Such an awesome game, plus the money you win depends on rarity of the car, difficulty (what type of damage, ABS off, TCS off and STM off), its awesome. And you can put small bodykits on etc, supercharge or turbo, upgrade the engine completely. The options in it are endless.

Downloaded the demo and it was FRUSTRATING. The view is bollocks, the "sat-nav" thing showing where the road is heading is not even an approximation of what is actually ahead, and the handling was just nonesence.

Tripe!

I downloaded the demo and it lags hardcore. I can run NFSU fine on my comp but this is impossible. It looks like an awesome game though. Ive got a Nvidia FX5200 but even still underground is fine.

I've been playing the PC release for a few days now. I find it to be an improvement on the old acclaim version, (note: got the version because it is never going to be released, and shows how one company wanted it to be like).

It's alright, I restarted the game, because I made some really bad decisions, (Bought the '67 Mustang too early, and didn't have the money to mod it. Then followed the advice to race for prototype parts, and got to the stage where my car, which was at the peak of performance for the category was too slow).

Since the restart, I've actually found the game to be quite enjoyable. I was quite surprised to find the '67 and '99 Mustangs in there, but not as surprised as when I saw the Series I BA Falcon XR8!

If you play the game, I recommend that you train up your drivers as early as possible, (while the CPU players are still very forked!). I've found the easiest way to do this is to create your own events at the speedway, (very easy track, all they have to do is get ahead of the other drivers and they've pretty much won. A simple shot of NOS at the start would cover that).

MC3 is crap. Its like driving GTA3.. every car handles, drives etc.. exactly the same. It was fun for all of 20 seconds.

not many games have this function; I would presume it would be a to code for. But the old NFS did.

Plus there is no way you can drive as quickly in pit view than bumper view IMO. Bumper view you can see more of the corner.

It's OK I suppose. I wouldn't go buy it in a hurry though.

I went off it for a week, then starting playing again last night. A fully sik Dodge Neon won me a XR8. And some other bits of crap. Until the last race I went in last night, and I lost the Neon.

There are a lot on PC that does. Unfortunately with the popularity of consoles (Xbox, playstation etc) most games are released for these before PC. For some reason game developers design the majority without in car views.

My next game will be GTR and Richard Burns rally as they both have the ability to work with TrackIR. Its a tracking device allowing your own head to control your view in the game. Something that no console has the ability to do.

Juiced is a bit rubbish actually. When i first got in late 2003 some time, I thought it was okay.

Pros:
Paint effects are awesome
XR8, sounds more like a V8 then the GT does in GT4
Damage

Cons:
You get over it quickly.
Your team drivers are spastic and will just lose control after leading the race by centuries for no reason.
Handling is plain silly to say the least
Hardly any bodykit combinations

If you are gunna get it, a tip to start off, keep betting tonnes of money on the teams/cars with good odds, you will have millions by no time. Buy a lancer and have one done up for each category at like 399hp, 499hp. They will anihilate everything else. Get the XR8 just so you have one, they are pretty crud otherwise.

ok while thats kinda cool I still dont think its a very good function. How could that possibly benefit you in getting a corner right? Sometimes complexity isn't such a good thing.

It takes some getting use to but it's closer to reality than the God view overhead which to me isn't real.

Just got back from playing the game for a week straight, been off work with the Flu. Its alright cause Im the boss anyways...

Bought the XR8 last night cause I thought it may actually be alright.. Its crap but my emotional attachment won't let me sell it.. Also the kits for it are so ugly I can't even explain it, some good bonnets though.. Maybe they should have talked to AWC when designing the kits?? Even after putting a good NOS kit it can't compete with the jap cars...

Im really into the arcade game play of this game.. Is a fun not serious game, and bumper view is the go.. Maybe Juiced 2 - more juice will have an in car view, then you can mod interior even futher.
