Smile FF.au Footy Tipping competition?

Hey guys/girls

With AFL and NFL starting soon I thought i'd recommend maybe we can have a footy tipping competition going on here?

Im sure theres other sites for making your own competition but I know theres optus footy tipping @ http://footytips.optusnet.com.au/ which does both AFL and NRL. Been a part of it for years and started a competiton with a bunch of friends and its good as

Sound good? :

A few years ago now I ran a couple of these footy tippin comps...
The website I used was @ oztips.com , they do a tippin comp for most codes of team based sports in aus. Remember that there'll also be supporters of RA RA as well as both league & that game those mexicans call football.

If we got organised and donated say $20 each for the season, the podium could get some merchandise at the end...

Take some organising in a short time

i think we could have a joining fee for the comps, with the money being a donation to AFF, with the incentive being a prize of some merchandise perhaps?
people could also join free of charge but not in running for any prizes.

just a thought.

Always good at the start, half way through the season you've got people that haven't entered tips since round 2..
I'll be in an AFL one, don't know jack shit about rugby.

Yeah I would be up for it I guess. I get so sick of tipping each week, but I'll give it a go.

you dont have to tip each week if you dont want to, you can go through and tip in advance if you want

Ha! Tip in advance is the worst way to tip!

It's ok, I tip each year in our family tipping comp, so one more isn't going to hurt.

I have actually won a comp (back in Year 11 or 12) at school when we had to pick in advance before the holidays (3 weeks ahead). I won easily by 10 tips at the end of the year. However I still hate doing it that way.

Done. I have joined both the AFL and NRL tipping competitions. I have no idea who is any good in the NRL...so I will simply go pot luck most of the time and see how I go. My brother has done that before and nearly won a comp!

Even though I love Super 12 I have even less of an idea about who I would want to tip...and I am already in enough competitions as is.

Thanks for setting it all up j0nni.

I won company footy tipping in Vic 3yrs in a row beacause of my absolute lack of knowledge of the game. Mind you in those years your beloved hawks were a dead cert, how things change.

This is the year of the Dragon in NSW, how is that for blind faith.
