Does anybody have the phone number of the guy that bought that escort?
I have a nice block of swamp land I'd be happy to let go for a measly $1mil. :

Hahaha

I did hang out for more for it, but oh well

I had to laugh when I heard them describe it as "a car you wouldn't look twice at" - I would, looked neat, straight, plenty of potential ;)

It was the same colour as my mother-in-law's eskie, the one that I had a religious experience with, changing the clutch!

Not a bad profit at all. It was purchased in 1996 for US$ 102'000 at an charity auction. Jim Rich, the buyer at the time, promised the Pope he would never sell it when he picked up the keys from the Pope himself. But he had to sell to pay bankruptcy debts to his father (yeah right _). Sold for US$ 690'000. They were expecting around US$ 3 million for this auction!!
