Default cam for a EL XR6

I was thinking of getting a cam fitted i was looking at the stage 3 crow but that would also mean i would have to get a chip installed aswell.

what sort of cam would be best suited for a EL XR6 auto?

would i be better getting a cam that doesnt require a chip or getting one that does?

i do have pace maker extractors fitted already and bigger air intake thats the only mods so far.

any advice will be helpful
thanks

The other thing is that you will lose any idle quality you had by fitting a lumpy cam... Having said that I had an EL that made 138 at the treads with a Crow St-3... I tried other cams before and after that, but it was good bang for buck. Also I would say get the rest of your exhaust replaced with a sports system as well... Crow sell a complete Cam, Chip & Exhaust package if I remember rightly

Had a cam in my EL Fairmont Ghia, with unichip and exhaust and Herrods never did get that running well. Not sure what type though. Was only getting 130rwkw, I am sure Jim Mock can do tons for better for less!!!
