Hail hit Lake Macquarie yesterday, up to the size of a twenty cent piece. My black C-Band satellite TV see-through mesh dish got 15 holes through it and numerous dents.

The black mesh 'petals' are aluminium.

If the dish gets damaged, so will your car.

I hope it's not going to be like this tomorrow, a friend and I are heading down to Kiama, and maybe Nowra.

I might tell her the XR will use too much fuel, and we'll take her Echo instead.

Then again I don't trust her driving, so maybe I might have to wear a disguise and drive it, just in case anyone I know sees me.:

OK How much would you pay for a cover for your car that is small enough to keep in your boot like a normal car cover ,but this one would protect your car from any hail , no joke this has been developed but not on the market yet ,BMW want to buy the Patten ,i only found out the other day.

Should of seen the weather we got here this afternoon. I thought it was 'end of days" or something of the kind. Maybe Sydney is getting what we got here and believe me it was bad.

Over Bondi last night ... photo taken from SMH

I was coming through the M2 when i saw it heading east ... I was heading directly for it ... when i got to the traffic lights at Abbot Rd at Seven Hills there was dark green/black/brown looking clouds overhead .. heading east very quickly ... the lightning show was awesome on the drive home though.

Thak God for Rain-X ... I only used intermittent wipers in the driving rain where everyone else was using the 2nd speed on their windows. Was a mad drive home though ... some people can't drive for crap in bad weather though.

From Box Hill to Windsor was bloody dark for around 7pm ... rain was heavy and minor flash flooding in some parts.

Was cool to see it come over ... and one good thing about it ... people stopped cos they couldn't handle driving in it ... meant less cars on the road for me to drive with.

Need more rain ... the dam needs filling ... the dam it my place has filled heaps ... still needs more water ... but it's welcome though.

went for a short walk last night to the la perouse loop. as its only a 5 minute walk from my place, i could see that storm front moving as i was walking down there. before i knew it, i had just gotten to the loop when it was directly overhead. panic sets in. i sprint home, took me about 2 minutes, and the torrential downpour starts as im 2 steps away from the front door. wont be doing something silly like that again anytime soon
