Default auto (repair or replace)?

Well I have finally done it, almost killed my poor auto....
Would appreciate any opinions on whats the better option...Repair the one I have or get a recon one?
The mech said I can still drive it (for now) but carefully...and no major drives (reckons it could last a few hours, few days or maybe at the most a few weeks)!!!!!!!!

Any info / advice greatly appreciated!!!!

Cheers
Kerri

depending on what is wrong with it, a snapped tang on the convertor or a dodgey S5 is about as far as I go to repairing the BTR.. Otherwise I'd get a reco/working one

I have no idea what on earth you just said about.... The mech didn't tell me what exactly was wrong, just said it was stuffed and that's why it won't change through smoothly (or at all sometimes).... oh and it sprung a leak of oil (he just said to top it up before driving it each time lol)

What price are you looking for it seriously? I'm looking at possibly getting a personal loan after finalising the move, so if you let me know maybe I can incorporate that into the loan amount.

Cheers
