Straight pod filter?

Do you mean a pod filter instead of a air box?

If you are going to fit a pod, you are better off fitting in the box as it helps to keep the hot engine bay out of the intake. But it's your car, so your choice, of course!

yeah sure np dude, have to be thursday night ofcourse

Pod? there are many to choose from. Autotechnia, DRIFT, K&N, SAAS, depends on how much $$$ you have. SAAS are $25 each which is your el cheapo one

Autobarn sell lots (shameless plug for my work)

how to mount? just hoseclamp it onto the end of the MPFI TB rubber air intake pipe unless you want to do it legally and correctly like JC said

Lol @ autobarn, I was going to suggest going there! If you’re around cranbourne this week, or my area I think maybe we go in the cranbourne one, my sis' bf just got a good one for his silvia almost half price! He might be able to get you a good price too.
