Just wondering how often you guys reset your ECUs? I reset mine at last service (5K kms) and noticed a slight increase in performance and a relatively big difference in fuel consumption (380km vs 450k a tank (90% city driving)). Coming up to service time it progressively went back to feeling sluggish and like it didn't want to move its 1,600kg backside. I reset it again and it seems to have made the same differences. Looks like i might have to include an ECU reset at every service...

take the negative battery terminal off the battery and leave for 10 secs then reconnect and presto! wouldnt recomend it unless you just done a major performance mod like cam/headers because it alters how much fuel the engine uses.

I thought that you were supposed to take off the negative terminal and put your foot on the break pedal to let any power in the system drain out the globes....

It doesn't matter anyway, the ECU will learn any changes after half a tank of fuel.

By the way you need to leave the battery disconnected for half an hour (not 10 seconds)for the thing to reset. |
