Well recently ive had a wierd problem where after leaving the car for 30mins then trying to start it, it wouldnt start unless I primed the rail a few times.
I assumed that the injectors were leaking or were just shagged. Off to work the next day to order some new injectors. After getting one quote of $325 from one of our distributors, I settled on a Set of 6 Brand new Aftermarket AU style Bosch injectors through a mob called "Power Injection" for $180 changeover for my old ones. They also are a slightly higher lb rate then stock apparently. Installed them this afternoon and NNNN me its AMAZINGLY different. Idles soo smoothly that I keep thinking its stalled. They are super quiet and the car is actually quicker! while it was at it I felt the intense need to stick a K&N pannel filter and decide to get a cam on monday. Now im thinking either the classic 1004-112 or as john_xr6 suggested a 1636? I would like some sorta idle even though i know its impossible to get a stock cam idle. Ive seen a few cars with 112's and it almost seems like its going to die at idle lol So whats everyone's thoughts on what cam? id be buying this monday so any help is appriciated. P.S (Change your injectors, it will do amazing things for your car)

The AU injectors do flow more 19.5 vs 19.2 lb/hr.
I’m on the look out for 30lbers, #24’s are just too easy to peg on a n/a 6. With regards to cam choice grab a Crow 2550, should give a reasonable boost in power….

I'd go the 112 You'll be able to get the idle acceptable just by playing with a few things.
BOOSTDEF: I was gonna suggest that you have a look here http://www.injectorsonline.com.au/ for injectors or else apparantly the Mitsubishi Eclipse has 40-something Lp injectors and they're always for sale cheap on Ebay, as are some of the V8 ones....... BUT you already got some |

Is there any injectors from other cars (apart from AU ones) that could be used to get more power? I was told that blue top magna injectors would boost power so i got a hold of a set for $50 for a try... They sucked, apart from making a little less power the biggest issue was while going through the rev range, i would get serges of power insted of constant power. Is this because the rest of my fuel cannot keep enough fuel to the fuel rail (meaning a loss in power when fuel pressure gets low) or is it just that the ECU cant run the injectors properly?

the magna injectors are 21lb at stock falcon fuel pressure, slightly above the stock 19lb.
if they're not in good condition, then they're not going to be of much use. at the fuel pressure used in the magna's, they're 24lb injectors. how ever, just slapping these into the car with stock ECU generally will make the car overfuel as its not calibrated for 21lb injectors. a lot of the time 4.0's are tuned to run rich with the stock ECU, putting bigger injectors in is only going to make it richer.

All the saloon cars run the magna injectors as well (@3.2 bar fuel pressure)
