Default Have I been ripped off??

I paid $8000 for my 1991 Falcon S XR8 approx. 18 months ago. Some major electrical gremlins have recently reared the ugly heads and I have had the car at the auto electricians all day today. I just spoke to them and they've had no joy at all. BUT.... He has informed me that the wiring loom looks as though it has had a "cut and shut" operation. There is a Map Sensor located on the fire wall which he seems to think were only in 6 cyl. models. The Sparky says that the way every thing looks is a bit strange like it has had a conversion. Can anyone give me ANY tried and tested ways of verifying that it is an XR8??

HAHA!! Its all good. Auto lecky just confirmed it is an xr8 but someone has rooted around with it a bit he thinks. Ahh the joys of having to fix previous ИИИИwit owners halfarsed repairs/mods
