Paint the instument cluster, the part that goes around all the guages. Did mine in silver and it makes it really stand out.

Paint it black, not silver. Mat black. Will suit your interior better.

umm, as for other mods, do things like jack the car up, clean underneath the wheel arches, then newspaper the brakes, and the fender/door paint, and spray underneath with high temp engine enamel paint in gloss black to give the arches some shine back.

Detail the engine bay using degreaser and elbow grease..

I was thinking blue actually, same blue as my seat covers, have that whole style going through it.

I'll be getting it lowered soon, mid July. Also getting some touch-up paint soon to fix up bit and pieces.

Thanks for the ideas guys, keep'em coming if there's anymore.

if ya have mudflaps, you could remove them if ya want. Some people like 'em on and some other people don't.

i have a shift kit to suit an EF available, removed due to manual conversion. postage costs, and its yours. you just have to find a spot to put a big black box with a pile of resistors and a relay inside it, and know which wires to cut and splice to.

That said, a real steering wheel cover works wonders, i have a black leather string up one and it brings up the look and feel of the car a fair bit. I'm also going to make up a leather cover for the gearshift knob with a polished alloy 'clamp' to hide the leather edges at the bottom. I was going to cast one from that clear resin stuff, but it wouldnt match the rest of the car, or even the shift boot. Plus i cant get them to attach properly anyway

leather/vinyl covers make anything look expensive and classy

very nice work bud. Deff get the shift kit.I have one an if ur smart they can be very good used at the right times.
Try painting the bits in your engine bay white to match your car. One of the JMM cars has this an it seriously looks filth man.
Watch those seat covers too...i had them an they really hold the dust an dirt really BAD.

Colour code door handles
exhaust tip

and maybe tinting can be cheapish

have fun :1syellow1

Looking interesting...

Maybe some vinyl around the steering wheel rim, or covering the airbag/horn fascia, could be other cheap mods? Giving the steering wheel a CF look?

Here's a few more pictures as requested.. the sunlight doesn't make it look right.. make's some of the black look grey in the pictures, might have to do it in better light sometime.. but i can assure you, its all nice black

Oh and by the way, the shifter is now black.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, i'm definately looking into doing more.. the steering wheel would be something to look at, and something like vinyl trims also for the doors wouldn't be all that bad.

I'll be getting it lowered mid July (birthday) and a few other things, but for now these are my little projects i've been doing. Next my engine will be done with white, liked the idea of that.

Had a few comments on it from mate's today, all good of course :voldar02:

Lookin good as man, one mod you could do (its not free), you could get a black manual shifter boot and get ride of the auto shifter look, you will need to mount your power botton somewhere else... it cost about $50 on an EA-ED but i dont know about EF-EL, some people like and its an idea that might look nice with the black shifter.
If you want a totally cost free mod, cut some plastic out of the bottom of your air box, a mate of mine with a V8 done it and so it sounded heaps better
