210 on MY own in MY OWN car on a back country road with NO ONE else around. Doing that deserves a kick up the bum. Doing that with others around who could get hurt as well deserves 10 yr.s with bubba.

Hang on just a second fellas and just think back to when YOU were 17!!

Now tell us you NEVER broke the law in any way shape or form while driving on public roads!

The lord knows I have been a lot faster than this young bloke on public roads in cars that handle like a wheelbarrow compared to what he was he was in no doubt! I was a 17yo knob and bulletproof behind the wheel of a car and learnt the hard way eventually!

But now im 33 and havnt even had a fine in 7yrs so we all make mistakes when we are young and by no means am I condoning what this kid is doing but he is just one to get cought in prolly 1-2000 a day all around australia that do it every day!!!

Ok im now waiting for the shyte to land!!

Speeding on the M4 that wasnt to smart and on a double demerit point weekend - NOT SMART

At least he did it on a freeway and not a craptacular main arterial road, the M4 is pretty heavily travelled though, he was just getting asked to get caught

Would it have made it any safer, less illegal if he was a 55 year old with 35 years driving experience??

Infact, he will probably cop less punishment than if someone older and experienced did it.

He's not going to have his licence for a while.. its instant 6 months suspension for being more than 45 over the limit, plus another 3 months suspension ontop of that for loosing all of his demerit points..
Not to mention the fines and the additional suspension he will get from court for being a tool..
He wont get away from it with just a smack on the wrist, coppers and judges have been making examples out of P platers these days, once the court has finished with him, he will feel like he was raped by a camel.

Maybe the P plater should spend some time with this 10yo who was able to drive for about 80km legally

http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/...964444759.html

"They appeared to be driving normally ... certainly better than probably some other people on that road,'' said Moree Police Sergeant Matt Clifford

Kid's an idiot.

~200kmh, on an area always covered by cops.. on double demerit long weekend.. on his P's.. (could throw in a commodore reference here but I won't :P)

Don't just take his license off him.. cleanse him from the gene pool!

news.com.au's story on this says he was doing 120km in a 70 zone

Guess no-one really knows how fast he was going I assume the media just upped the km's a fair bit to make it look bad for P Platers

They also said he was doing 197km/h in a 110K zone(which would be the M4 Motorway)

The 70K limit would have been in St Clair suburbia

Ah, another commodore driver off the road.I wonder why it is these type of people who speed like this dont put here car on the track and "race " against other people who are like minded instead of endangering the hapless public with their stupidity.
