Makes the V8 look sad.

It was measured on the latest g-tech on the market, a 14.89 @ 98.1mph.

G-tech PFFFFFFFFFFHH!!!!!!! It's like one of the other e series boys who has a EB GT mockup. "yeah it runs 14.8 mate", lined him up and blew him by 4 car lengths running a pedestrian 14.7.

98mph is low to flat 14's.... 98mph doesnt equal 14.9 ..... Your mods don't equal 14.9
Something is wrong,, go to a track quoting g tech figures is misleading.

g-tech = Emo The track is the only way to guage a cars performance, none of this dyno crap, g tech is even worse.

I'll give you a tip. My 1/8th mile TRACK time is the same as what this EXACT G-tech gave. So maybe work that out.

Ah...that explains it...G-techs arent the most accurate things to measure your quarter mile with...I think they tend to read a little on the 'quick' side...

They are fun, but if your going to qoute it then you leave yourself open as there are to mnay variables with those things. Im not saying they are completely inaccurate, but with those mods its seems rather unlikely that it would do a 14.8 at a track. Your basically saying that a EL XR6 with an exhaust will do a 14.8, and HSVEATRS car doesn't have an LSD or 3.45's (not in sig anyway) : edit: if you go to the track and produce a 14.8 as your car is currently now then Ill happily eat my own words

Why's that? Because of roll-out. At the track the car is actually moving before it brakes the beams that start timing. Depending on how deep you stage, your car can be moving at a reasonable pace before the timing beam is broken. G-Tech starts timing as soon as the car starts moving.

OED666 has a built T5, 4.11:1 diff gears, AU XR6 HP engine with a big cam, chip, full exhaust (though with a dodgy cat flange thats way too small) in his ED, last dyno run was 217rwhp and managed a 14.2@98mph at willowbank the other week...even when my car was NA and I was doing consistant, easy 14.5s, I still wasn't pulling 98mph.
As I said, G-tech aren't anywhere near as accurate as a track. |

just goto the track and get a real time, if its 14.9 then you'll shut up everyone, if its not, then you'll know g-techs arnt ALWAYS accurate.

Well, the nearst track is probly cawlder so i wont be goin down a 1/4 any time soon. Only got the 1/8 here. So i will retract my statement of the time i ran, till i actually run it down a 1/4 and will let you know. Just for reference, i ran a 9.721 @ 72.22 mph down the 1/8. Since then i hav installed a manual computer and a K&N pannel filter (yet to run it again). Thanks for the feedback :

your car may have the similar running gear but a falcon is lighter than a ghia :P electric windows, fat leather seats, extra carpet, extra lights, extra buttons, bigger loom list goes on :P

the fact is, the time is POSSIBLE.
but not proven until done at a real track.

I believe Southy ran a 2.3 60 with 2.92 diff gears, so he has potential to go a lot faster.

My car is probably a slow POS, I doubt ill ever take ti down the 1/4; although I must admit I am curious. Unless its a T5 I dont have much interest in it performance wise.
