Default Stock 200 & 220 xr8 RWKW results

I'd like to know what people have gotten. Glen from G&D gave my engine a clean bill of health but I was expecting more like in the low 160's. So anyone with just exhaust mods or CAI please feel free to post up your rwkw.

Going back a while but my 220 Auto pulled 157ish stock, after getting rid of stock headers but rest of the system stock, cai and Unichip best run was 179.

Being manual you expect a little mor then that. The cooling fan wasn't feeding my side bumper duct which runs some 50ml pvc piping into the box (running 90 degrees around charcoal canister). probably would have got an extra couple kw.

That's wishful thinking. 50mm is not a large enough improvement to count for anything, plus the stock MAF and TB can't use the additional air all at once - the only thing you may get is better driveability, becqause air is there when the throttle is opened (ie don't have to wait for increased volume of air to arrive). But it's not really going to yield any more power - perhaps with edit it may.

I've seen a stock AU2 XR8 (manual) pull 160rwkw, and an auto with Paccies and 3" single system pull the same. Basically, work on 25 to 30% driveline losses for autos, and 20 to 25% for manuals.

So 200fwkw equates to about 140 to 150rwkw (auto) and 150 to 160 (manual) stock, and the 220s range between 155 and 165 auto, and 165 to 175 manual.

From what your telling me JC my car is pretty underpowered (-10 kw), but track times tell a different story which raises ????????????????

The ECU's perameters should accomodate the extra air being squeezed into the motor. pipe that size will make bugger all difference I agree, maybe at illegal speeds but insignificant none the less.

My first G&D dyno resukt 156.5rwkw the only thing fitted was a K&N filter in a std box then as you know 167rwkw with the G&D CAI. It is worth remembering dyno results are not somthing to rely on.

Cheers Mark

The only question it raises is why you think it's underpowered? The dyno may have understated (different dynos show different results for the same car, even on the same day), they may have done it in a different mode (standard, rather than shootout), or any number of reasons. Anyway, dyno only gives an indication of performance. If you're really worried about the dyno result, go and buy a T3. Guaranteed 180 at the wheels.

xd5.8 your dyno and times show its not underpowered ,its within the average range
20kw can be eaten up by the driver, I did last time out (more pwr/slower time = me)

is the T series synergy a 220 or 200 ?

my own 200kw spec pulled 156- 160 -165rw(paceys and 3inch and airbox lid up)on hallams dyno on two separate days ages back and recently pulled 153rw then 173rw after edit on the Bluepower dyno

xd5.8l, your mph would suggest that your car is pretty much on the money power-wise. Put a little camshaft into that thing and it will be a weapon
