hi everyone
i have an eb2 and i want to put some subs in the boot although i have a couple of problems. firstly as most of you would know i have the spare wheel in the middle of my boot. secondly to add to my problem i have just installed an LPG gas system (to save money on petrol) into the boot. this now occupies the space that a normal sub box would go. this is an 80L tank so it is pritty big. thirdly i am not rolling in cash so it would have to by a pritty inexpensive opperation. if anyone has any suggestions with this issue send us a pm or anything really lol. thanks SickEB |

hmm ull prob have to put the sub and most likelly 1 sub in the right hand corner oppisite side of the jack and that, 1 good 12" sub and a good amp will sound good and only cost u around $200 for a good 12" and another $200 for a good amp. if u already have a head unit, speakers ect..

Well, you could ditch the spare wheel and make sure you carry a phone and keep your RACV card paid up as many do :sm_headba
Or you could go to stupidcheap auto and pick up a sub enclosure that dosen't require mounting. Put some brackets on the floor that keep the box from rolling around in the boot and a bunch of other clips and plugs so if you ever need your spare or to get to the gas tank you can unclip and unplug the box and move it with ease. I would also get some plywood and make a nice backing to hide the tank, if the budget allows. For the gear, check a mom and pop style shop or somewhere that stocks it, but can't shift it. I managed to get all kenwood, last years model 12" 800W sub and a 2 channel 800W Amp from 2 years ago bundled for 500 bucks cause he couldn't shift em :hihi: |

ive got the same sort of setup and eb on gas with the tank takeing up most of the space, i was gonna get some magnetic shield stuff and put it around the tank and make an mdf frame either side of the boot and put in 2 10" or 12" subs and an mdf floor and wall to hide the tank and carpet it all black, and make a lil compartment near the tank for the jack, so you could put the amps in the floor thats my plan anyway

could also go one of them pioneer "restricted space" subs. autobarn under $300 in box. and a cheap ***** amp from strathfield as you arent going for any record breakers, audiomaster 4 channel 560w should be more than sufficent and under $150. then 8 guage wiring for about $60 and an easy self install.

I just put a new sound system in my falcon, a 300w alpine sub and a 600w kenwood amp, the sub was $120 bucks in a sub box with mesh on it already and the amp with a wiring kit was only $240, so i got a pretty decent sound system for a good price i think.

um the boot still has to be usable until then end of the year because my dad is using it as an every day car until we buy a new car (dad wrote of the gemini). at the end of the year i can fill the boot with whatever i can afford. ROOSTA i would like 2 hear the idea anyway.
cheers matt

You could always put an amp under one of the front seats to save room in the boot!

distorted? no. if u dont set up ur amp properly and crank it to the max then yeah it will distort. wheel will just displace air which will give a greater SPL....not a bad idea actually...
