Mitch. what model Sti do you have??? unless its got the active differential your not going to be able to "pull the fuse" like they do on the gtr's. That is a noice clip though!!! its amazing that you can buy a used r32 gtr(the lightest one ) for under 20 k australian(in japan) and itll do low 13's out of the box and 11s with nearly nothing done to it!

A mate recently bought one for 10k with a dead engine. With some minimal work and TLC she's now doing easy low 12's. Once you get away from the variable timing they really are a fairly low tech engine. But bulletproof. I now have about 3 friends on the lookout in Japan for R32's once they realised just how cheap they are now. You're looking at aluminim front guards, cross drilled brakes etc for 10k landed in Oz and there's a very competitive weekend club car.

buying one with a cactus engine is probably a better idea as the r32 engines if they are the same one in there from factory have some issues when driven hard (i think its a bearings thing) and probably will need a rebuild anyway soon enough

Some how I think that was in kmph not mph. If it was crossing the line at 240mph you'd expect it to be running 5's not 10's.

Awesome!!
If you bought one with a bum engine you could build up a RB30/25 pretty easy and then be floggin the crap out of heaps of things. I sure wouldnt mind one. Those flames are very back to the futurish lol. Hope he wasnt carrying uranium! |

GT-R's are incredibly quick, no doubt. Fantastic track weapons too. Couldnt own one though, it'd be like owning a high performance toaster - fantastic at what it does, but doesnt have any soul/character (read - flaws ).
